➢ Yes. EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA. Be sure that when you are selecting a painting contractor that they are in compliance.
  • Which paint brands does Kevin Copley Painting use?
➢ We have found that using economy grade paint labeled good, better, or contractor grade do not perform well. ➢ Yes. Our crew will ensure that your home or office is protected from any excess paint, dirt or debris by covering all areas with plastic, drop cloths, masking paper and painter's tape. We encourage customers to view the completed interior and exterior house painting preparation work before any paint is applied.

  • Do you provide touch up paint after you have completed the job?
➢ Yes, our painters will provide you with the leftover paint for touch ups.
  • Do you apply test paint samples on my home or office building?
➢ No. Painting a test sample on a wall will show through the final paint application when looking at it from a 45 degree angle, therefore we prefer to use (8.5 x 11) brush-out sample boards which you can place in different areas of your home or office building without actually applying paint to wall surfaces.
  • What kind of surface preparation is done?
➢ All surfaces are thouroughly cleaned. All caulking is inspected and replaced as needed. All areas are properly scraped and primed prior to the application of the finish coats.
